College Success & Wellness Hub Starter Guide
Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or scattered? You don’t have to fix everything today. Start with these six gentle steps.
- 1
Classes & Deadlines
Write every class, exam, and due date in one place this week. Circle the next three things due. That’s your starting point—not the whole semester.
- 2
Resources
Find three campus supports: your advisor, the tutoring or writing center, and the counseling center. Save their location and hours before you need them.
- 3
Self-Care
Choose one daily anchor: a 10-minute walk, a regular bedtime, a real meal, or a quiet pause. Small and steady beats big and rare.
- 4
Family Connection
Pick a simple check-in rhythm with someone who loves you—a weekly call or text. Homesickness is normal; connection helps.
- 5
Goals
Name one goal for this month and one tiny step for this week. Write down why it matters to you.
- 6
Independence
Practice one grown-up skill: a budget, booking your own appointment, or emailing a professor. Each one builds confidence.
Less overwhelm. More clarity. — With care, Dr. Liz
